One Pokémon at a time

In the early days of Pokémon GO, transferring and evolving Pokémon meant doing it one by one. Managing a collection involved repeating those actions for each Pokémon, even when I already knew which ones I wanted to transfer or evolve.

I made PokeManager, a web interface where you could log in and manage your Pokémon inventory from a browser. It brought the collection onto a page and let you select Pokémon in bulk.

Select a group, then act

The interface displayed Pokémon in a grid, with their CP values alongside them. I could look through the collection, select the Pokémon I wanted, and use the Transfer or Evolve controls for that selection.

That was the central idea: make selecting a group part of the interface, so managing several Pokémon didn’t require treating each one as a separate task in the app.

The screenshot and demo preserve the interface I built at the time. This is a look back at an early Pokémon GO project, using its original media.
